In the shadow of the cross,
Love was poured, and hope was lost.

Upon the hill called Calvary,
You carried all our pain for free.
Nailed to the wood, with arms out wide,
You hung in love, our Savior died.
Every sin laid on Your heart,
In that moment, hope would start.

The darkness trembled at Your feet,
In Your sacrifice, our souls complete.
With every breath, You took for me,
In Your death, I’m set free.

Oh, Jesus, You bore the cross,
Through Your pain, we find no loss.
In Your dying, You gave us life,
Through the darkness, You are the light.

Three days passed in silent grief,
But Your promise brought relief.
The stone was rolled away, so bold,
In Your rising, love unfolds.
Death defeated, the grave is bare,
In Your victory, we find our care.

Oh, Jesus, You bore the cross,
Through Your pain, we find no loss.
In Your dying, You gave us life,
Through the darkness, You are the light.

Now we stand in awe of grace,
With grateful hearts, we seek Your face.
For every tear You shed for us,
We lift our hands in faith and trust.

Oh, Jesus, You bore the cross,
Through Your pain, we find no loss.
In Your dying, You gave us life,
Through the darkness, You are the light.

And we stand in awe of grace,
With grateful hearts, we seek Your face.

Forever grateful, we will sing,

To You, our Savior, our risen King.

In the shadow of the cross,
Love remains, and hope is not lost.
Forever grateful, we will sing,
To You, our Savior, our risen King.
